Swatch: Illamasqua Bacterium

I cannot TELL you how excited I am about Illamasqua lowering their prices in Australia. But let me put it in perspective for you: there's no counter in Perth, so I'd have to order from Myer interstate. To order from Illamasqua in the U.K. AND pay for shipping would have still been cheaper than ordering from Myer in Australia. And that's without shipping included in the Aussie price!

Two coats.

This is a polish I've wanted for a long time, and it DOES not disappoint. It's described as a "pearlescent ash ochre". I would describe it as a sandy taupe with silver shimmer. The first coat was a bit streaky, and it has a hint of brushstrokes until it dries. This would be a GREAT base for Konad, I just need to get a dark polish for stamping with. Until then, here's a freehand French tip done with Colour Club Worth the Risque, which I've hardly ever used, even though it's a stunning silver holo.

My next Illamasqua purchase will be a lipstick for sure. I'm thinking the newest one, Magnetism, or maybe Drench. I don't have any nice deep berry-red lipsticks.

  1. Magnetism is a LOVELY lippie and much better than thier usual formula. I ordered Bacterium when it was on sale a while ago as I was lusting after it like woah. It's so pretty!
